This Art Appreciation Course is a Diploma course directed by art expert Hilary Kay written by some of the best working art practitioners in their field. Our aim with this course is to ensure graduating students receive the knowledge and skills required to take the first steps towards a new career or as a keen hobbyist.
Once enrolled in the course you will receive a username and password to access our secure student site. Your own personal tutor will be allocated within 24 hours and will be there to offer support and guide you to your first level of qualification.
Student Support is available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
You will find the tutorials easy to follow with no formal examinations necessary. Only basic computer skills are required and you will find the course captivating and the assignments fun and thought provoking.
As the course is self paced, you may take longer than the scheduled 24 weeks to complete your course. If necessary, you may take up to a year to finish your studies.
It is an unhurried and detailed look at the broad shifts in art, seminal works and artists. It is presented in well written modules, which cover art principally from the Renaissance on, but there is also a broad overview of visual culture and a module dedicated to British art.
